The biggest update yet for the Business Intelligence section. Three new dashboards, a completely revamped Script Editor and deeper insight into data quality. Compare visitors with and without cookie consent at a glance. The new dashboard shows the consent rate as a donut chart, consent distribution over time and a percentile analysis of the time to accept (P50 through P99). The dimensions table lets you break down consent rates by country, device, browser, OS, source and channel. Requires a supported CMP (Cookiebot, OneTrust, Usercentrics or IAB TCF v2) or manual activation via data-track-consent="true" in the tracking script.

Feature: Activity Timeline

Discover when your visitors are active. The dashboard shows peak hour, peak day and the weekday/weekend split as KPI cards. Hourly and weekly distributions are available as a toggleable bar chart with previous period comparison. A weekly heatmap combines both dimensions for quick pattern recognition. The new conversion filter lets you narrow the view to sessions with specific conversion events.

Feature: Web Vitals Dashboard

Core Web Vitals directly in bchic. Track LCP, FID, CLS and other performance metrics for your website without external tools. Can be enabled via the Script Editor under “Configure Advanced Analytics”.

Feature: Compliance Suite & URL Anonymization

New compliance page with an overview of all privacy-related settings. URL anonymization automatically strips sensitive query parameters and personal data from captured URLs before they are stored.

Improved: Script Editor (Configure Advanced Analytics)

New central configuration page for advanced tracking options. Web Vitals, Consent Segmentation, third-party system integration and privacy settings can each be toggled individually without editing the tracking script manually.

Improved: Filters & Segmentation

Filters now display active values and operators directly in the filter tags bar. The calculation for reader, dropper and bot segments has been reworked. A new filterExcludeBots parameter allows targeted exclusion of bot traffic.

Improved: MCP Knowledge System

The MCP server automatically learns from interactions and stores website-specific knowledge via a withKnowledge() wrapper. AI assistants receive better context on follow-up questions without needing to re-query the data.

March 2026 New Integrations & Authentication

More connectivity: MCP support and social login make bchic more flexible and accessible.

Feature: MCP Integration

bchic now supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). AI assistants like Claude can access your analytics data directly — GDPR-compliant and without any data export.

Feature: Google & Microsoft Login

Existing accounts can now sign in via Google or Microsoft. Requirement: the email address of your Google or Microsoft account must match your bchic account email.

Status: Live

All three features are now available for all users.

Late February 2026 Change Impact Analysis (CIA)

The first step towards a BI platform. CIA quantifies the impact of changes on KPIs, making results measurable.

Feature: Impact Measurement

Calculates the exact ROI of deployments or marketing measures. Provides a data-driven answer regarding the specific utility of a change.

Modes: Interval & Cumulative

Switch between interval view (effect per time unit) and cumulative view (total effect over time).

Status: Open Beta

Currently unlocked as an Open Beta for all plans (future Business feature).

Mid-February 2026 UX Optimization & Drag-and-Drop

Focus on workflow efficiency and performance improvements.

Graph Interaction

Timeframes can now be selected and zoomed directly within the graph using drag-and-drop.

Performance

Significantly reduced loading times through intelligent fetching and optimized caching strategies.

Contextual Help

Expanded integration of documentation directly within the UI for faster troubleshooting without context switching.

Early February 2026 Funnel Analysis, Payloads & 404 Tracking

The first update of the year expands the platform with essential conversion tools and deeper insights into technical events.

New: Funnel Analysis

Understand where you lose users. With the new Funnel Analysis, you can define custom routes (e.g., Landing Page -> Pricing -> Checkout) and see at a glance:
  • Conversion Rates: What percentage of users reach the next step?
  • Drop-off Points: At which point do most users abandon the process?

Added: Detailed Event Payloads

Your custom events now offer full transparency. You can view attached payload data (JSON/metadata) directly in the event overview (“Event Payload”). This allows for a granular analysis of specific user actions without detours.

New: Automatic 404 Tracking

Find out when and where users land on error pages. Integration is incredibly simple: Mark any element on your 404 page with the attribute data-bchic-error="404". The system detects this automatically and lists the errors clearly in your events. The display of “Outbound Links” has been completely redesigned. New visualizations provide a faster overview of click volumes and the distribution of external destinations.

December 2025 User Intent, Smart Paths & UX Upgrades

Our final major update of the year brings deep insights into user intent and powerful new analysis tools.

Added: Sitemap Indexing & User Intent (Business Plan)

Understand not just what users do, but why they do it. With our new Sitemap integration, you can import your site structure and classify areas (e.g., Informational vs. Commercial). Alternatively, manually group visited paths to visually recognize visitor interests at a glance.

New: Power Feature “Paths”

Path analysis has been completely overhauled. Instead of simple flows, you now see detailed metrics for every step:
  • Dwell Time: How long do users stay on a specific path segment?
  • Loss & Loop Detection: Instantly identify where users drop off (“Loss”) or go in circles (“Loop”), signaling potential confusion.

Added: Advanced Filtering & Grouping

The filter bar has become much more powerful:
  • Global Device Filters: Quickly filter your entire view by Desktop, Mobile, or Tablet.
  • URL Grouping: Group entire path classes (e.g., /blog/* or /products/*) to keep your analysis organized. Now supports Regex for maximum flexibility.

Improved: UTM Campaign Visualization

Small detail, big impact: The UTM overview now automatically displays logos for known platforms (Instagram, Meta, ChatGPT, etc.), allowing you to identify traffic sources faster visually.

August 2025 Internationalization & UI Improvements

This release marks the transition to a monthly update cycle.

Improved: Scroll Depth Analysis

Scroll depth data from desktop and laptop users is now combined, allowing for a unified and more comprehensive analysis.

Added: User Cohort Analysis

It is now possible to set multiple filters for user cohorts simultaneously. These filters remain active across different pages.

Added: English Language Version

The entire platform is now also available in English.

Added: Product Documentation

Launched comprehensive documentation to explain all platform features.

Improved: Main Navigation

Introduced a new stacked sidebar for a clearer overview and faster navigation.

July 2025 Dashboard Enhancements & Deeper Insights

Added: Dashboard with Comparison Data

The dashboard has been fundamentally redesigned. It now offers customizable KPIs, the definition of conversion goals, and the ability to compare data with a previous period.

Added: Scroll Depth Analysis Page

A new page for analyzing scroll behavior has been implemented. It includes a heatmap overlay and a survival chart to visualize drop-off patterns.

Improved: Team Management

Organization management has been enhanced. It is now possible to delete users and restrict their permissions based on their role.

Improved: UTM Analysis

The UTM page has been optimized. URL paths for subpages can now be customized, created links can be copied or deleted, and filtering capabilities can be used more precisely.

Added: Onboarding & Script Integration

Implemented an onboarding tour that guides new users through the core features. The script integration guide has also been revised.

June 2025 Open Beta & New Analysis Tools

Added: UTM Campaign Analysis & Start of Open Beta

The platform is now available as an Open Beta. A new page for analyzing UTM campaigns has been added, including visualization and categorization of traffic by source.

Added: User Journey Analysis (Paths)

A new page has been added to visualize the paths users take on the website.

Improved: Event Tracking

The “Events” page has been enhanced with detailed performance tables and automatically tracks scroll depth and outbound link clicks.

Improved: Login and Registration

The login and registration process has been redesigned for a better user experience.

Added: Filtering Capabilities

Implemented granular filtering options for data, including by path, URL, and device type.
